No One Parents Alone
Ready to Become SAGE Certified?
Each year, a disproportionate number of children of parents with disabilities enter foster care after their parenting capacity is evaluated using assessment methods that were never designed or adapted for parents with disabilities.

The U.S. Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services (DOJ/HHS) have identified this practice as discriminatory and have called for parenting evaluations that provide appropriate accommodations and equal access for parents with disabilities.

At Adaptive Parenting Solutions and the SAGE Institute for Adaptive Parenting, we specialize in disability-informed adaptive parenting assessments that recognize parents’ strengths while identifying the supports and conditions that help families succeed.

The SAGE Institute offers certification training that prepares social service professionals to conduct fair, disability-informed adaptive parenting assessments for parents with disabilities and their families.
